This was my first stunt job. Jet Li had spotted me out at the Compete Nationals in Irvine and recruited me to work with him on his first film shot here in the states. Jet was still recovering from surgery to his shin and used me as his stunt double for some aerial kicks in the finale fight scene.
I also played a “heavy” in the same scene and had a fight with Dick Wei (yes that’s me with the Ramones hair and leather jacket). I’m further embarrassed to reveal that I used my own wardrobe. I’m horrible with dates, but I believe we shot this sometime in 1988 or 1989.
