Yums in LA. Foodies only – no trendoids please.

lemonade

Lemonade is my new go-to lunch joint that Tucker Tooley first turned me onto.  I’ve been hooked ever since.  The ambiance is definitely for “foodies”….trendoids looking for agents are better suited for Urth Cafe and Toast.

Lemonade is a unique gourmet cafeteria-style spot in the former Tea Garden near Bristol Farms in West Hollywood. Caterers Alan and Heidi Jackson’s (Jackson Somerset Catering) menu offers items that are not definitely not on a typical cafeteria menu; Twelve-spice braised duck, quinoa-squash salad, ancho-chili pot roast, or roasted cauliflower with golden raisins and curry vinaigrette.  You can fill your plastic tray with more than 15 different salads, eight hot and cold sandwiches, five or more Dutch oven dishes, plus soups, sides, and desserts.  There are a lot of selections which are amazingly consistently great.  And of course….the lemonade choices alone are worth the visit (I like the Ginger Lemon).
