Former Nathan’s Hot Dog eating champion Takeru Kobayashi staged his own hot-dog eating contest at 230 Fifth Monday, downing 69 hot dogs in 10 minutes. Kobayashi was ineligible to compete at Nathan’s because he won’t sign an exclusive contract with Major League Eating.
