So I assume this means no Pacquiao vs. Mayweather in May…?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. begins his jail sentence on January 6, 2012. However the WBC welterweight champion could be out in 60 days, if he’s credited with good behavior.

According to abs-cbnnews.com, “Money May” who was sentenced to 90 days incarceration after pleading guilty to a reduced battery domestic violence charge, could be a free man within two months of serving his allocated three-month sentence.

“Good behavior and work time could knock up to 30 days off Mayweather’s sentence,” detention officer Bill Cassell said.

Even with four weeks shaved off his jail term, it’s hard to visualize the proposed fight of the century happening on Cinco de Mayo.

For one, Mayweather will only be approved one day a week to workout, and that could amount to only several hours of exercise time on those days.

In total, Mayweather would’ve had anything between 16-24 hrs of workouts by the time he leaves jail. But, this is dependent on whether his jail term will be cut down.

That per se, isn’t enough time for Mayweather to contest with someone in the guise of Manny Pacquiao, or any other fighter for that matter.

As of now, it’s safe to say that the chances of a May 5 showdown with Pacquiao are between slim and none.

Whilst Money has been enjoying the last days of his freedom and most likely mentally adjusting to what awaits him in lockdown, the public have been curious as to where the five-division world champion will be spending his clink time.

Well, according to SportsYahoo.Com, after a deluge of requests from the populace, the Las Vegas Police Department presented this photo of a prison cell akin to the one Mayweather will be housed in.
