Boxing promoter Lou DiBella shared via Twitter today, “I just received word that Hector Camacho Sr. was shot and wounded in Puerto Rico hours ago. Please join me in praying for him.”
According to reports, Hector “Macho” Camacho was wounded in a shooting from car to car and is reportedly in serious condition after the violent incident in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. His companion, the driver of the vehicle he was in, is reportedly dead.
The Puerto Rican Boxer was a three-time world champion in the 1980s and ’90s, where he had great battles with Julio César Chávez, Edwin “Chapo” Rosario, Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini, José Luis Ramírez, Greg Haugen, Oscar de la Hoya, Roberto “Hands of Stone” Durán and Félix “Tito”.
