Via Café

Most of you already know that there isn’t a huge selection of REALLY GREAT Chinese or Vietnamese food in the Beverly Hills, West Hollywood area. Montery Park is a bit of a drive for a spur of the moment craving, so when I get an itch for a home-style cooked meal, I’ll take 6th street to Broadway and find myself at Via Café.

Located in the festive Chinatown Central Plaza this recently expanded café offers casual dining in a relaxed ambiance. The decor is clean and simple, the service is exceptional, the cooking is authentic….with a menu offering a very wide selection of Vietnamese and Chinese (with a Vietnamese twist) savoury delicacies, all of which are refreshingly “clean” of grease and over-use of salt.

My personal favorite is the wonton appetizers (steamed, not fried) – they are NOT to be missed.

They also offer a pretty wide selection of international wines and Asian beers.

Whether you have a large party or an intimate dinner for two, Via Café offers some of the best dining in Los Angeles.
