Finally saw Crank 2 – High Voltage. Jason Rodriguez and Craig “Frosty” Silva brought John Koyama, Sam “Smokey” Looc, and me in for the limo shootout scene with Jason Statham. It was a fairly small space for all the FX elements that the directors wanted for the scene. There’s nothing funnier than trying to play dead when hot, brass gun shells are landing on your neck.
As a side note, Efren Ramirez is one of the leads in the film who was also in the opening of this scene. I worked with him the entire day and didn’t realize he was Pedro from Napolean Dynamite . Vote for Pedro!
